Gods Amongst Us is the result of 8 years of documentary work around the powerful and deeply rooted Theyyam festival of North Kerala.

This book is a visual exploration of devotion, transformation, rituals, and the human presence behind one of Kerala’s most extraordinary living traditions.

Rather than presenting Theyyam as a conventional coffee table publication, this book approaches the subject through intimate moments, layered narratives, and a personal documentary perspective developed over years of travelling across Kannur and Kasaragod.

Every image in this book is part of a long-term journey of witnessing and documenting the spirit, emotions, and atmosphere surrounding Theyyam and its performers.
