Ganesha Chathruthi celebrations in Kerala at Dwaraka Beach in Chavakkad, Thrissur. In other states of India, Ganesh Chaturthi is observed based on the lunar calendar. Whereas in Kerala the Malayalam calendar is followed and has a different rule to observe Ganesha Chaturthi, which might fall few days to a month before observed in other states.
